Briefing Run N Gun

Welcome at the Dutch Run N Gun Championship!

The match is organized by Ulwembu Consultancy on the grounds of SV Doublet.

After the briefing your firearms will be numbered and you will bring them ASAP tot he apropriate bunker. For some, who don’t have their own firearms, the loaner firearms are already in the bunkers, including magazines and ammunition (rimfire firearms number 0, centerfire firearms numer 300).

Competitors that have their own firearms will run with the necessary ammunition. You are not allowed to leave the track to get more ammunition if you run out. You will need at least 6 rounds of handgun or 6 rounds of rifle ammunition per lap. For 3K (4 laps) this means 12 handgun and 12 rifle rounds and for 6K and 13K (8 laps) this means 24 handgun and 24 rifle rounds. This exclude any misses!

Before you start you will be given a dummy rifle. During the whole course you need to stay in touch with the dummy, either the dummy itself or the carry sling attached to the dummy. The only time you can set the dummy down is while shooting the stages. You can not throw the dummy across or through an obstacle!

During the briefing you get a scan card. When you start you place the card on the start reader. Make sure you hear a clear beep! After every lap you placet he card against the lap reader. After finishing the appropriate amount of laps you exit the track through the finish where you place the card on the finish reader.
Registration of the correct time is your responsibility!

Every competitor receives a small backpack. Are you shooting with loaner firearms? With the rimfire firearms you’ll get a backpack with a bottle of water. It’s mandatory to carry the waterbottle during the whole match. In case of centerfire, for government workers only, you will carry the amount of magazines/ammo you think you’ll need.

3K runners will run 4 laps. 6K runners will run 8 laps. 13K runners will run 8 laps + exit the gate after you turn right exiting the mud trench (you will leave your dummy rifle at the table at the end of the mud trench). In every lap you will enter one of the bunkers. During the briefing you will be told which firearm you will shoot first. In the next lap you will shoot the other and so forth.

Is someone shooting when you enter the bunker? Make sure your waiting time is registered! There are stopwatches available. Are these already in use? Use your own stopwatch, phone or smartwatch! If yor waiting time is not registered we can’t deduct it from your total time. The only reason to record waiting time is if there is no shooting position available!
The penalty for not defeating an obstacle is 5 minutes!

While in the bunker you shout your starting number or the loaner firearms number. Your firearm will be handed to you by the RO. Are you shooting with loaner firearms? Make sure the RO knows your starting number! Without this number your result will not be noted! Is there no room for you to shoot? Make sure you get a stopwatch so your waiting time can be deducted from your total run time.
